I shot video for Inside Lacrosse of the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic on 10/15/22 at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, MD. It was billed as "Champs vs. Champs," with the defending NCAA D1 Men's Champion, Maryland, taking on the defending World Champion, Team USA. The Terps played USA twice - once at 9:30 AM (this game) and again at 2:30 pm. The US Team split their current roster into two groups with half playing in the first game and half playing in the second.

Sandwiched in between the men's games was the women's game. Fresh off their 2022 Gold Medal in the World Games, Team USA's Women's Team took on the defending NCAA D1 Champs, the Univ. of North Carolina Tarheels. With 9 of the 19 women from the US Team having been Tarheels themselves, plus Jenny Levy, who is the head coach of both UNC and USA, the game was something of an Ode to Carolina. I'll be posting videos of this game in the near future.

It was a beautiful day for lacrosse. This was my first time at the venue. It's a gorgeous facility with an intimate feel. There are stands on one side and a nice grass hill on the opposite side where groups of people watched sitting on blankets, benches and camp chairs. There were sponsor tents and a fan zone on a hill behind one of the goals and a parking lot with team tailgates going on behind the opposite goal.

This video features extended clips of the first men's game. It was a physical, defensive battle. USA pulled out a 5-4 win. Maryland's '22 grad and Tewaaraton Winner, Logan Wisnauskas sealed the deal for USA, scoring the game winner with under 4 minutes left. Goalies for both teams played great with Logan McNaney and Teddy Dolan shining for the Terps and Jack Concannon, Jack Kelly and Blaze Riorden holding it down for USA. Between them all, there were a LOT of saves. Also, TD Ierlan was masterful taking face-offs for USA.

After the game, Team USA's players did a great job being ambassadors for the game. They stuck around signing autographs for a lot of adoring and appreciative kids and their families.
